STYLES AND TECHNIQUES

The original works on FineArtbyCarolyn.com are done in two specific styles, Chinese Brush and Oil painting. Both are very disciplined, unique, styles. If you have questions about any of the work on this site, please e-mail me at ArtbyCShore@aol.com.

REPRODUCTION PROCESS

Giclée
Giclée, commonly pronounced "zhee-clay," is the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. Artists such as myself use the Giclée printing process to make limited edition, high-end reproductions of our original works of art.

Not only is Giclée printing extremely high in quality, it allows the artist to control detailed aspects of the reproduction process, such as color and the type of substrate  (archival watercolor paper, glossy paper, or cotton duck canvas) used. This contributes to why Giclée prints render such deep saturated colors and all of the fine details visible in an artist's original work.
